This song sorta has a double meaning. Its literally talking about Jesus forgiving Judas. But its also referring to being in love with someone that is bad to you and forgiving them and going back to them even though they betray you and emotionally abuse you.
-
This is obvious what it's about. It's about a girl who is in love with a man called Judas and he is in love with someone else. judas is a mans name.

This is proof this name is a real name. I don't know where this stupid bible thing comes from. She says she's in love with JUDAS NOT JESUS!!! Listen to the words. Well I would rather call my son Judas then Jesus.
She doesn't even mention God or Jesus so what the hell is People on about.
She refures to the bible cause she believes in it. She says she's in love with Judas so I am sorry but this song holds no bible words in it.
It's just about a woman in love with a bloke called Judas. -
I think what shes trying to get across is that her relationship is the same as the relationship of Jesus and judas. She isn't putting the church in a bad position because she is only using it as a metaphor and isn't saying it a bad relationship, she is just taking that story! She is saying about how she has fallen for the wrong guy every time she has fallen in love an he is evil or cruel and even so, her love is so content that she still loves him. It also symbolises that she let's people down (Jesus-considered the King with a crown) and gone for the bad guy. I may be wrong but I think that's it x.
-
Even if this song was about relationships, does it really have to involve Jesus and Christianity? Come on. I see how the song can go both ways and I am a Christian. I see how people interpret the song 2 different ways. It wasn't a very good idea to mention Jesus vs. Judas. She knew that this song would get a lot of public critique.

all of you need to chill out. It is a song, and a catchy one at that. There have been people out there who's lyrics are much worse. We only hear it about gaga because she's so famous.
Everyone chill out -
ok, we all need to stop judging. Only god knows whats in her heart. The best y'all can do is pray for her and the world.
-
LOL. It is so clear that she denying Jesus as a King. She worships the Devil and she is somehow showing it through this song, but of course she will never admit the truth. It is too shocking, instead she says she is talking about her past and makes everyone think the song in ok and eventually everyone is singing her songs and helping her worship her god (Satan).
-
Hey how about you people that are saying that Lady Gaga is going to hell and that she is a satan worshipper or whaatever, go and do some research and figure out that there is no satan and there is no hell. Only fools that need something to blame the problems in their lives on, believe in satan and a hell.

You are all silly people. I have read many "interpretations" and most of you have missed the mark all together. twisting facts and using propaganda. the moral of the story is that lady gaga is an anti-christ despite what she say about her religion. the definition of anti-christ is "an enemy of Christ or Christianity". by this definition the fact that she is catholic and by the way that she conducts herself and what she sings about she is an anti-christ so people do not mis-construe what i mean by say shes an anti-christ. On American Idon LAUREN ALAINA who originally sang a chirstian song was coaxed into singing "Trouble" originally sung Elvis by none other than Lady Gaga. Laurens issues with this song were based on the lyric "Im evil" delcaring at the end of the day its "just a word". Another innocent christian girl twisted by main stream media...with this how can you ever say Lady Gaga is innocent. we all know people who claim to be of a religion and do not walk the path outlined in such religion. Judas being one of them. people who have said shes catholic...everyone with half a brain gets what the general "outline" of that means...and im not trying to use the stereotype. but its pretty obvious that she does not meet any criteria associated with that religion other than being a human being. I do not know the true meaning behind they lyrics and i do not nessesarily trust what she said they mean considering any artist is liable to lie to keep the "protestors" content and to increase their listeners. In my opinion i think its heresy to write a song concerning anything to with Jesus and Judas. If by mostly everyones arguements if "Judas" refers to the men of her past that have betrayed her then by default she is comparing herself to Jesus which in itself is a serious offence. what i will say is that some people have made some good points as to the validity of this song being about the men of her past. most of they lyrics can be contributed to that with the exeption to:
"I'll bring him down
Bring him down, down
A king with no crown
King with no crown"
you cannot create an instance in which this could logically be about men of her past without stretching it. i was hoping to find a place that actually had the interpretaion of this song and not a list of peoples poorly found or selfcentered opinions. i wont claim to be correct on any part of this things i have written but merely by opinion. -
You people need to get over yourselves. So what if she isn't a christian. We live in america, and the last time I checked we had freedom of religion. And I will not stop listening to her because she makes great songs that have good beat, good lyrics, and great points. Some of you need to listen to other songs by her, dont listen to other peoples opinions.
Anyways, I believe in the part where she says "fame hooker, prostitute wench, vomits her mind." I think shebis refering to her rise in fame, and refering to a previous relationship by saying the man or woman was a wench all the time. And when she says vomits her mind, I believe she is saying that she's trying to convince herself to stay with him. Because when you vomit, you are trying to convince yourself to stop vomitting, even though its better for you to get the substance out of your stomach. In this case, she is lying to herself thinking its better to stay with the person, though she knows it would be better to leave him or her. -
Its a stupid song and i really think that she has one of demons called judas..people come on! open your eyes this demon is inside this woman.and its not something that had just started now, she started with the song name monster : "he ate my heart and then he ate my brain" she´s talking about this demon he has ate all inside her. I really belive in God and i read the bible so if any of you do respect God or believe in him you should STOP listining to her!.

This is aimed to all that are supporting what she is depicting to young people, making everything she does is ok, modern, normal. She is a very twisted person and I feel sorry for her. She may have been christened a Catholic but she doesn't act as a Christian should, eg wearing hot pants with a huge cross on the front! And a great deal of other things she does!!!! Calm down, yes we try as Christians to stay calm, but also keep praying to Jesus to protect us from this slow but dominant change in society. God be with us all.

To all who are taking up for GaGa when they say."oh she believes in Jesus and God"..even the devil believes in God..You will know a tree by the fruit it bares..stop listening to her
-
Unbelievable! I can't stop laughing at some of the stuff posted up here. Calm the eff down people, you're reading way too much into this video! I LOVE YOU GAGA!!!
-
Only Gaga and God know what she is truly singing about, however, it appears that she is singing about several things. She always sings about being drawn to the "bad guy," or wrong type of guy. She obviously can't help herself and suffers from very low self esteem.
The saddest thing she sings is that in the most "biblical sense," she is beyond repentance. Is she also saying that she is beyond forgiveness? I truly hope not, because there is hope for even the worst of sinners. Often people think that they are too evil or have committed the worst of sins for God to forgive them let alone love them. God loves all and is not willing that any should perish. It's never too late to come to HIM, no matter what we've done-He knows why we do what we do. Yes, God loves you just the way you are, straight, gay, bi, tri, trans or whatever. Cry out to HIM and He will make Himself known to you and love you like no one on this earth every could.
