Simple Plan: Untitled Meaning
Untitled Lyrics
I try to see but I’m blinded by the white light
I can’t remember how
I can’t remember why
I’m lying here tonight
And I can’t stand the pain
And I can’t make it go away
No I can’t stand the pain
How could this happen to...
-
I can't quite remember where I saw this or which member of the band that I heard it from but, one of their close buddies back in high school was in a drunk driving car accident and was killed. This song is pretty much written about him, and in sympathy of others who have had such a horrible accident.
-
I think it's talking about drunk driving or maybe somewhere around there. I think the person was trying to commit suicide as well. 'I open my eyes, I try to see but I'm blinded by the white light. I can't remember how, I can't remember why I'm lying here tonight.' I think that it does state that they were trying to commit suicide just to get out of whatever trouble they believed they were in. 'How could this happen to me? I made my mistakes. I've got no where to run. The night goes on as I'm fading away. >I'm sick of this life, I just want to scream. How could this happen to me?<'
Right there is a hint about them wanting to take their life away for them to escape whatever it was that they want to get away from them. -
The real meaning of the song is this:
One night a guy went to a party. This guy was extremely popular at his high school and captain of the football team. He started drinking, and the next thing he knew it was about 1 AM and he was hammered. Not thinking straight, he got in a BMW with two of his friends and started driving. They were having fun and tried seeing how fast it could go on the freeway, reaching 150 - 160 mph.
When he started driving down a street back to his friend Matt's house, he turned the corner, rammed into a car, and his best friend Matt was instantly killed from the impact. His other friend who was in the back had major head injuries and went into a coma. About 3 weeks later his friend got up from his coma, but had permanent brain damage and major amnesia. After this, his friends who later formed the band Simple Plan made this song about him and it represents how hard it is to be the person responsible for your best friend's death. Basically, the best idea is not to drink and drive because it could have major consequences that you won't expect or ever recover from. -
It's about one of their high school friends accidentally killing his best friend from drinking and driving. I know this because the guy that accidentally killed his best friends came to our school and talked to us about how drunk driving is bad
-
This song is awesome but I what I can't get is if the song is from the point of view of the dead girl, since it says "I'm slippin' off the edge", or from the point of view of the drunk one,"I've made my mistakes/got nowhere to run", also in the video it seems to be the drunk person the one who is singing, but during the whole lyric I have the impression of how the girl feels the life going away,
-
its about how when somebody dies, in this case by a drunk driver, that there are more victims than people think. Its also about how everyone that the victim pretty much knew suffers from it
-
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
I remember seeing the video and I think it has to do with someone who got in a hugh accident. And he never thought it would be him to be in this situation.
Or...
It mighth be about someone who lost someone in an accident and died because of a drunk driver.......
I don't really remember... And as you can tell,,, I didn't really reread the lyrics..... -
They made this song for the arganization madd. Mothers against drunk driving. They tell it in the point of view of someone who has just been in a car accident and how its to late and how they want to start over again. It's a very sad song, but I love.
-
It is about how some of simple plan's freinds died in a car crash when they were drunk so the message is don't drink and drive. I think it is called untitled because... well how could you come up with a title for a plot like that?
-
It's about drink driving and how you shouldnt do it because its dangerouse for yourself and others on the road. The part in the film clip where they go flying in the air actully means its not just the people in the accident that suffers its the family of the person or persons who died!
-
Thi song is about drunk driving. It is alsoo about regretting killing youtself or self or someone els.And it is also about how drunk driving effects your family. It is a verry sad song and I love it.If you don't like it I don't know what is wrong with you but GET HELP if you don't like it.
-
I think it's about tragedy and dramatic things that happen during peoples lives. Although drunk driving is what is shown in the video, that's not the only thing it pertains to. Bad things happen in peoples lives all the time. It's pretty much speaks about the emotional strain of it all.
-
This song is about a friend of the lead singer that died in a drunk driving accident. She/he was sober, but the driver of the other car was drunk. In the video, when the family goes flying through the air, it shows how drunk driving can upset a family.
-
I think it's about drunk driving or anything like drugs its just that if you do sumthing like drink and drive you could affect lives other than your own like in the video he killed the girl and her family was a moved by it and I bet his own will be affected to so its isn't just drunk driving but of course I could be wrong espetially when I don't listen to em or go crazy over em...they are just people who sing....
