Simple Plan: Untitled Meaning
Untitled Lyrics
I try to see but I’m blinded by the white light
I can’t remember how
I can’t remember why
I’m lying here tonight
And I can’t stand the pain
And I can’t make it go away
No I can’t stand the pain
How could this happen to...
-
Obviously it's about drinking and driving I get this interpretation from the beginning when he talks about white lights and having no where to run and plus they had this song in an every fifteen minutes video at my school its a very sad and moving song and describes the end results of a drinking and driving accident :(
-
It is about a drunk driver who crashes into a girl and how it basically destroys a family. The perspective is of the driver and about him saying "How could this happen to me?"
-
I heard this song is about Pierre (Lead singer) His ex-girlfriend Brittany was in a drunk car crash and she died. And the driver lived. Then 3 of their friends were in a car crash. The song like explains it to you.....
-
I agree with TheEvilOne with regard to the idea of a suicide attempt. In fact, I'm studying suicide right now (Abnormal Psychology) and a lot of what's throughout the song depicts suicidal thoughts. Granted, my boyfriend thinks it's due to the fact that I'm listening to the song repeatedly while studying this....but, the more I hear it, the more convinced I am.
Just listen to it again with an open mind. Wipe away that preconceived notion that everything is always so clean and simple and listen with a different perspective.
"No I can't stand the pain..."
"the night goes on as I'm fading away"
"I'm sick of this life"
"Everybody's screaming; I try to make a sound but no one hears me"
jeez....there are so many, I'd just about type out the entire song. -
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
Yeah, basically it's about people who can get killed by a drunk driver and even though you've made mistakes, hold your chin up high. The girl was sad and having trouble but she still held her chin up high, while the guy who was driving was sad and stupid too and decided to drown his problems down his throat by alcohol. And look how it makes it worse. And when the cars collide the family and friends fly because it's the same impact on them.
-
my interpretation about this song is deeply meaningful. when i heard this song i remember my bestfriend died last 2008. This sng his Favorite song, when he is in critical he called me but i cant answer here call coz i cant understand what he mean.
Pinatay siya at hanggang ngayo wala pa ring hostisya. I always heard here voice in my dreams asking WHY DOES HE HAPPEN TO HIM... -
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
well i think this song has a deeper meaning. I think that it shows how inconsiderate people could be. like when the girl dies the guy could be thinking "how could this happen to me" and not even think about how it affects the family and friends. i don't know i think i just have a F**ed up mind sometimes
-
This song is was written about 3 friends of the band members of simple plan who got into a car crash, they were all drunk but the driver and one passenger survived and the other didn't. The guy who died was the drivers best friend and this song was written for him.
-
It definitely is a sad song for sure.....and I think that people should live life like its the last day because you never know what can happen. Tomorrow you may be in a car or plane and you ay get into a horrible accident. I feel bad for Simple Plan because they had to here such bad news. Remember kids (and adults) DON'T DRIVE DRUNK BECAUSE YOU'RE USUALLY THE ONE WHO LIVES AND YOU COST SOMEONE ELSE THEIR LIFE!!!!!
-
It is about how families and friends are impacted after somebody has been killed in an accident drug or alcohol related. The families are hit as hard as the young girl in the other car, but with trauma instead of the steering wheel.
The band, Simple Plan, had a lot of friends killed in accidents such as that shown in the video, and wanted to express how horrible it really is, and how much difference it makes. -
I think the whole reason behind this song is for you to stop and think for a second... what is the end result in drink while under the influence. If people could only understand life is to valuable to be thrown away, so please treasure the great moments of your life so they last. Simple Plan is simply trying to crossover a point that will hopefully be successful to all you kids and adults.
-
A friend of mine was killed by a drunk driver last year and it hit every1 I know pretty bad..this song really gets to me and I think it's amazing!
-
It's about the lead singers friend getting into a drunk driving accident and supposedly killing his girlfriend. when the family goes flying in other scenes its suppose to show you how hard it can hit the family, of their child's death. and for the people dissing simple plan, stop wasting your time on this board, you're the only ones who are the idiots.
