Skillet: One Day Meaning
One Day Lyrics
Tick tock hear the clock countdown
Wish the minute hand could be rewound
So much to do and so much I need to say
Will tomorrow be too late
Feel the moment slip into the past
Like sand through an hourglass
In the madness I guess I just...

I think the song means to live each day like it's your last one because it could be. We never know when our last day could be or when a friend or family member's will be. Make sure to always forgive and not say anything that you would regret. Because if that person died the next day there would be a hole in your heart because you'd never have the chance to say, "I'm sorry" It might also mean to come and know God before The Second Coming because if he does come and you're not a believer you might not make it to Heaven.

Well I think that this song is about how the speaker encourages others to do things before your time is up. I know this from experience. I just recently had a friend pass away and I thought of this song because it says so much. To me, John is saying how you've gotta do things before it's too late. "Gotta learn to forgive and forget 'cause we don't have long gotta make the most of it."<---One has to learn to forgive others and stop dwelling on the past. Make the most of your time with that person because you may not see them the next day. In other words, never say goodbye without saying "I love you" or whatever because they could end up in a car accident. Never go to sleep angry or mad. But this song is really easy to understand.

I think this song is about doing things before it's too late. To know God before it's too late
