Billie Eilish: Come Out And Play Meaning
Song Released: 2018
Come Out And Play Lyrics
Wake up and smell the coffee
Is your cup half full or empty?
When we talk, you say it softly
But I love it when you're awfully quiet
Hmm, hmm quiet
Hmm, hmm
You see a piece of paper
Could be a little greater
Show me what you...
-
A soft, comforting way of telling someone they are special to. when i listen to this song I always pause what I'm doing to just listen for a minute. And I know that I don't have to hide anymore.
-
This song is about knowing someone and their talents. And help them overcome their fear in order to show the world their remarkability.
-
The meaning of the song in my opinion is that it is important to overcome shyness and commit yourself, demonstrate your talent, do not keep silent.
-
This song speaks about how it's okay to stand out and share your talent. In the music video, the girl's papers fly all over the city, containing something that has to do with her talent, such as: poetry, music, art, etc. Then the people in the town look at the paper and find the girl's talent and are amazed. She's technically saying to not hide and that it's okay to stand out. I'm only 12 so... I'm not too good at this stuff. LOL.
-
This song is about a person trying to motivate a reluctant someone to share their written talent with the world. She's encouraging this person to take a chance and abandon the apprehension because the talent is worth exposing his vulnerability. However, this person must make the effort and come out and play.
