Katy Perry: Peacock Meaning
Song Released: 2010
Peacock Lyrics
Your peacock, cock, cock, your peacock
I wanna see your peacock, cock, cock, your peacock, cock
Your peacock, cock, cock, your peacock
Word on the street, you got something to show...
-
She draws in the younger crowd, little girls are following her and this is where she is leading them. Do you want your 7 year old singing about a peacock cock cock? Bad they are saying this word over and over.
-
She's is talking about honesty. The peacock is a very colourful bird and it is the symbol used for honesty. She wants an honest man and not someone who hides his true feelings.
-
umm it could be that other thing or it could be that she wants the guy to show her his true colours and who he really is i hope its that
-
Watch the music video. All this song is about is her trying to get laid, so quit arguing about it and WATCH THE VIDEO
-
I think it means he's shy and to let his colors burst or maybe he's not creative but Katy Perry knows he's creative the other reason is she wants to have sex or see the mans special part
-
it mean she wanna see a dick duhh
-
Someone actually sent me these lyrics in a text message and I laughed it off, because I didn't understand why at first. But, after reading the entire song lyrics, rather than just the chorus, I realized that there is much deeper meaning than just the simplistic sexual connotations.
"What is underneath" is not referring to what is underneath his pants. She wants to see the man beneath the shy exterior, his inner strength and especially his emotions for her. He has had the courage to tell everyone else about his emotions, but now she wants him to show her his colors personally and let her see the Peacock that "is underneath". -
I think its about her wanting to see his cock or like his real colors or his femine side or somethin
-
It's about letting your freak flag fly plain and simple.
-
It's about exposing your true colors!!!! stupid people
-
I think peacock is about sex she clearly seems 2 want 2 see his dick but mayb the song is about the girls that like guys with a big dick. it would mak more sense if people would think of it that way instead of thinking it's about sex :-) =-)
-
katy perry wants some guy to show off his dong but hes afraid she will make fun of him for having a pea-cock. katy likes guys with small dicks :) lmao
-
I'm 99.9% sure it's about the male.. ahem, genitalia.
It's freaking obvious. No special crpytic message here... -
hahaha... the comment above just blew me off! who wrote the song? sting?!?!
"I wanna see your peacock, cock, cock, your peacock, cock..."
anybody can figure that out; it isn't rocket science, y'know? -
This song has 3 obvious elements. The initial concept that presents itself to the common mind is physical/sexual/genital related. This is actually the weakest interpretation. The second concept is "show your colors", the call to reveal the true nature of the individual. However, the strongest concept, which should be the most obvious but is not because people are simply baffled by the concept is the nature of the dichotomy of male and female bodies and minds. In nature, the male is the most beautiful of the species. It is the male spirit which is radiant and the female spirit which is less conspicuous. Thus a beautiful woman may have a femal body but a male spirit, and a man may have a male body with a male spirit. This is what she is requesting. The terms Yin and Yang are more effective because our deluded modern age confuses male and female with masculine and feminine. They are not the same. Katy is more concerned with people singing this song innocently. Singing it about a penis is innocent because it is calling for the public to wake up and start thinking about the terms that are being used so contradictorily and without being properly undertood. This idea was constructed with Russell Brand, who is not an idiot. Start using your heads and think mercilessly about the concepts being presented to you. Artists operate on a higher plane than those whose imagination is still asleep.
