People try to understand...she said she BELIEVES in God but she did not say she WORSHIPS God.
Even satan believes in God...she said she is beyond repentance which means she knows the wrath of God but she is willing to face it. -
She was so fresh ! Something totally different when I first started listening to her songs. Her videos were extremely well done.
But there is no way that this can be explained as a methaphore about her ex-boyfriends, bad relationships, etc.
This is obviously done to get reaction.
But why not run nude on the beach ? Or kiss a girl ?
I wont go into religion, but this is bad. If I were her, I would be scared. -
first of all everyone in the world always has to make big freaking scene over anything and everything over analyzing everything that someone famous does like really its lady gaga you should expect this crap from her by now basically if u don't like it don't listen to it if you're that sensitive you're stupid its a song she wants to be a idiot showing up to awards in a freaking egg and wear freaking meat that's her stupidity and if she wants to write stupid songs that make no sense to anyone but herself so be it but everyone making it a big deal is making her more popular and more willing to write crap so like i said if you don't like it don't listen I'm catholic and as far as I'm concern as long as I'm not believing this crap I'm good shes the one who in the end will have to face him.

sigh...hey you at 14:22
since when you decide who goes to hell or heaven? you might not even know if you're gonna enter heaven!so shut up and don't judge others! -
If you believe in Jesus, you would not even utter these words. You would not even go close to using those words. This is so sad.
-
Lady Gaga is a demon. There is no need to prove anything, just dont take her songs to the heart and when jesus comes and she and the rest of her illuminati crew ( JayZ, Rihanna etc.) go to hell, thn everybody else will see the truth. Thats all you need to know. FOLLOW CHRIST!

wow are you kidding me i hate how everyone is freaking about judas! judas is about her Ex boyfriend (the bad guy) how she is still in love with him even after he betraid her and broke her heart so many times.
judas is just a biblical metaphor!!
just like how jesus forgave judas.
lady gaga is an amazing person and i have a lot of respect for her. she is very Intellectual and actually has talent! unlike half of the Celebrity community!
you should be happy that she makes these wonderful song for the whole world. she makes the world a better place in my eyes. she has songs for every situation that people are in. she is a very strong woman and artist. she does so much and works so hard for her fans. and only her fans. -
First of all my beloved brothers and sisters,STOP judging others! Gaga is no satanist and we can prove it too! Even if we couldn't, no one has any rights to condemn another person. i'm very annoyed by fanatics nowadays! You just jump to conclusions and make fun of yourself. I beleive in GOD(strongly)! Therefore, you needn't question my "unholy" opinion. I'd like to start with crap from the backmasking of gaga's songs! Backmasking is just listening to song in a reversed pronunciation of words. There's no satan speaking through it or hypnotizing us through it. Even if satan was talking through it, God wouldn't let it destroy innocent child of his who listens to it.Don't make God look small and weak that he can't even protect us from these puny craps. You people who are proud of the backmasking nonsense should stop it coz, you're only bringing trouble upon yourselves. Dont wait till the day a person backmasks christian worship songs that has the word 'yes'. backmask the word 'yes' and you'll hear an UNCLEAR pronunciation of the word satan! my point here is backmasking songs doesn't ultimately proves a person is a satanist.
Now let's move on to the usage of satanic symbol. She can use any signs she likes and it's none of your business to judge her based on it.Yea it's ok if you don't like it and condemn it.But who are you to judge anyone? You call yourselves the follower of christ..but when put in situations, how many actually follow it? Jesus never judged mary magdalene or condemned her EVEN WHEN SHE WAS CAUGHT RED HANDED! they had all the proofs against her,but did jesus judged her? NO!
Jesus lived a simple life, but i know most pastors drive luxury cars.(i'm not judging them, but seriously..car is NEEDED just as a MODE OF TRANSPORT.Plus, how can you drive a BMW 6series when you follow a man who humbly sat on a donkey! i'm aware there's no cars back then, but jesus never went to jerusalem in a chariot or at least rode a horse.he sat on a donkey.such humility have i seen rarely in the 'holy' peoples. now ask yourselves,is it fair if we judged you people this manner?do you like it?)
the song may sound satanic or eerie to you, just remember that you're accountable for judging another individual. Don't forget that no servant is greater than his master. You're follower of christ and no greater than him.Hence, you're in no position to judge another soul!! STOP IT!
If you think she's a satanist, here's what you should do..do what jesus would've done.Pray for her! at least you will feel better about it.
my opinion on this song is that,Gaga was expressing betrayal in her relationship. She does it in most of her songs(clearly she has many boyfriends)Using Jesus&Judas is the best way to show betrayal coz ppl from other parts of the world could get the point! Don't expect her to talk about other betrayal stories coz not many would get the point(how many is good in history? Jesus&Judas story is a basic story told during Christmas parties and so on.therefore it's a better choice) well i can't really say that my opinion is right. the real meaning of this song could only be told by Gaga herself. any other interpretations will just be smart guesses=)
PLs do forgive me if i was harsh.I wrote my opinion based on an open and general manner. -
I love this song! It's so darn catchy! Judas is a biblical character who betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of gold. It is a popular belief that Judas is the ultimate betrayer. In some languages Judas is synonymous with the word traitor. The lyrics are simply implying that Gaga is in love with someone who's betrayed her.
I love the whole idea of using biblical stories in pop music. It's an obvious choice for Gaga because she attended catholic school for 13 years. The Bible is also the most circulated book in the entire world with more than 5 billion copies!
And no, I do not find the song blasphemous whatsoever. If anything I actually found it quite enlightening. I personally have never heard the story of Judas. This provoked me to find it, and through my research I've become much more knowledgeable of Easter! It is very inspiring that Someone (Jesus) could love someone or something (man kind) so much as to forgive them when they have been betrayed by them. It's amazing really. Lady Gaga's song is a preach in the form of a pop song. She is spreading the word of God with a catchy tune. -
I think a lot of people are taking this too far. Judas is a metaphor. She's not saying she is in love with the actual man that betrayed Jesus. It's basically a song about how people make mistakes and can cling to dark things in their lives, but it is important to move on and get past that. The biblical references provide a unique motif to help illustrate how people can fall deeper into their own mistakes. Furthermore, I think the lyric "love is like a brick, you can build a house or sink a dead body" affirms that. You can take your choices and circumstances and create something positive, or you can simply wallow in your misery and such.
The bridge is particularly interesting (and very deep in my opinion). "In the most biblical sense, I am beyond repentance. Fame hooker prostitute wench vomits her mind." The bible, and the eras it takes place, often have a negative view of women. Obviously women used to be stoned to death for crimes like adultery, in which men were also responsible (yet not stoned). Throughout history, and even still today, many forms of stigma, judgment, and discrimination have existed as a result of religious institutions and biblical interpretations. That is why "in the cultural sense, [Gaga] just speaks in future tense." This goes with the theme of the song; me must move forward from our pasts and our mistakes to become better and build something new. Lady Gaga always finds ways to advocate social justice and equality, and in some ways this song extends those ideas of cultural change. However, when people move on (especially in relationships when you find new people), you always end up clinging to the past in some regard or another. You find yourself moving into the light, but you might look back into the shadows. -
I think this song has multiple meanings, on the surface I think its about love and betrayal but I think a deeper meaning is her frustration with the Christianity and with Jesus and her struggle with light and darkness. Overall, I think this song unveils her struggle with love. Like many have stated, Lady Gaga grew up in a Catholic home and was exposed to the Church and to its corruption. I don't know whether she is a follower of Christ or not, and I cannot judge her because Christ is the only one who can, but I think she has been judged and rejected by too many Christians and she is bitter about religion because it causes people to become self-righteous and condemn and hate others.
If I could speak to Lady Gaga right now, or anyone who has felt rejected and judged by the Church (and there are so many who have, even I have felt that way), I would tell her that the true Jesus Christ, the one who I am proud to follow, did not come to condemn or judge. He came to love, heal, and offer everyone the gift of salvation and grace. Sadly, Christians have failed at spreading the message of love to the world and instead are rejecting and hating the very people that Christ told us to love and accept. This is why so many have turned from the Church.
One interpretation I have for this song is that she is so fed up with Christianity that she would rather love Judas (who I believe represents Satan) than love Jesus. Although Jesus is in the back of her mind, she feels so unloved and rejected by Jesus that she feels more comfortable loving "Judas". When she says "Bring him down, down, A king with no crown", I think she is saying she wants to bring down the name of Jesus because I think Jesus represents rejection and condemnation to her. I wish I could talk to Lady Gaga about religion. I think we all need to stop calling her antichrist, satanist, etc because we Christians are not better than everyone else. We have no right to condemn or judge others because the only difference between us and everyone else is that we are saved by God's grace. This grace did not come from ourselves (Ephesians 2:8), so Christians need to stop hating and start loving. Then people will actually wanting to hear about Jesus and who he really is. -
It's funny how people say it's not "literal" and that she said herself that it's about boyfriends...
When you try to trick somebody you don't go an tell them what the trick is... You lie....
She is not gonna go out and admit it... That's just common sense.
If she truly believed in God she wouldnt have wrote a such disrespectful song..
