I'm a Christian and believe she wants to bring Jesus down, for He is the only King. If she believes in God she obviously doesn't have any respect for His name or the Bible.

From an UNBIASED look, i don't think she's trying to remove religion or worship satin... maybe not the best metaphor.. but if you listen to lady gaga im sure your not gonna care if she does a metaphor to a religion ;) bottom line it's a good song, maybe your all just thinking too much about it and just expect too much from it because it's LADY GAGA ;o how can we not expect greatness from her?

I personally think it's not the best metaphor to use but, I don't think the song is saying she worships Satan or Judas by any means. I don't even think the song really has anything to do with Jesus,Judas,Satan, or The Bible. She is just using that as an example. The song is simply saying that GaGa picks the bad guy(Judas) over the good guy(Jesus). She knows that the good guy(Jesus) is the right choice and the one she should always pick. But, she always picks the bad guy(Judas) no matter how many times he lets her down or hurts her. She knows she is wrong for picking Judas but she doesn't care because she loves him.

Singing about sex, drugs, alchohol, and etc. are what many musicians write about. The thing is, no matter if it's meant to be aginst God or about these "normal things" of the world,it is all equally upsetting in God's eyes. She may not even be trying to send a bad message, because most musicians use symbollic metaphors to mean something else thats happened to them.

I think this song can be taken in many different ways and that is probably what Gaga wanted to get after writing this song. However, bashing and calling her names does'nt prove a thing, and leave the judging to God.

    Dance.

How come noone else has mentioned DANCING?

Perhaps because you are a walking zombie hyprocrite who hides behind dogma.

I suggest you go out DANCING.

When Lady Gaga songs come on, we DANCE.

It's hip hop and she has used the bible as a marketing advertising tool to reach more people by invoking your emotions.

Other hiphop lyrics are boring or sick.

TURN UP THE VOLUME AND DANCE!!!!!!!!!

OK all you bible bashers calm down!! This song uses religion as a metaphor to talk about gaga's feelings towards past lovers and always feeling the strongest bonds towards those who have betrayed her. She is NOT the anti-christ :') she herself has been open about her belief in God. However, that thing written by a 12 year old 'born again christian' is the saddest thing I've ever read. I hope one day you can break free and find moral in the true, non-discriminatory sense.

The song doesn't have anything to do with religion. In Gaga's own words "it was about being in love with the worst guy you've ever met, but as you might expect there's more to it than that. "It's about leaving your darkness behind in order to come into the light," she added the other day. "I have a lot of things that have haunted me from my past - choices, men, drug abuse, being afraid to go back to New York, confronting old romances - and Judas represents, for me, something that is bad for me that I can't escape. I keep going back and forth between the darkness and the light in order to understand who I am." So, very broadly, the main portion of the song is about Gaga in private and the middle eight is about Gaga in public, two themes that are explored elsewhere on the album too." - Interview done by popjustice.com

Lady Gaga use to make good music. All of a sudden, things have changed. I admired her because of her genious musicianship. Now, I have been betrayed and I am overwhelmed with diasapointment. She is going to far with religion in her music. She is truly mother monster. And I am not her little monster. I do not care how influencial she has become or is. I am not going to listen to her brain washing music! She needs to change. She might even fail as a superstar. She is too volgar, loud, hypocrite, deceiving, twisted and scary. I admire her musicianship, but she has failed in other ways. She is literally, allowing for people to accept homosexuality and exploiting them for her FAME. She is using her GAY FANS to get what she wants and needs. Gays are becoming an ever growing presence. Think about it.

    Some interpretations are very pessimistic...

What use is being religious without being actively spiritual? There is no point in believing in the Divine yet not realizing it exists right here, right now.
Self righteousness from being religious = so many religion's lack in spiritual evolution. And so many people's blind belief is reaching satanic proportions (if satan even exists)

What does something as personal and non-religion related as sexual orientation have to do with religion? Sexual orientation is not scientifically dimorphic ie: it is not as simple as 'men are programmed for women and women are programmed for men.'
More specifically, what is up with humanity's religious fetish over the sexuality debate? Where you cannot classify which orientation is 'natural' and which is not, there are far more serious issues and OBVIOUSLY UNNATURAL issues we should be worked up about... not something as insignificant as someone else's personal sexual orientation.

People who can truly appreciate art and knows art when they see and hear art will know that open mindedness is essential. After all, its not all objective

Ok idiot at 9:25, you're telling us to read our Bibles right? It was Peter who denied Jesus 3 times, not Judas. Obviously you haven't read your Bible right.

I think a Judas is a person who claims to be a Christian, goes to church and seems to be a good person in the eyes of the community. In the personal life, that person judges other people, gossips, and engages in sinful acts. As humans we are not supposed to judge others. That's God's job. Let Gaga be!

On another level Judas is a metaphor for a relationship with a man.
