Alkaline Trio: Trucks and Trains Meaning
Trucks and Trains Lyrics
Some hit so hard you barely feel a thing
Lights out right now back then and forevermore
Lights out left now these robots marching
To the nearest liquor store
Theres something green...
-
This song has double meanings, like many alk3 songs.
Its about boredom in 1 way, which explains skiba's use for color names.
Ex- there's something green that's leaving town
always talked about black, we're considering brown
each color represents a mood that skiba is feeling. There is also a link here in this song for skiba moving to berkley, because he felt there was no use for him in chicago.
Another meaning in this song is about suicide and death, like most alk3 songs.
Ex- feel the ocean blue
engulfing you
I view the deep blue sea
its turning red, right in front of me
this song is explaining the person jumping off a cliff in california, and watching his own blood turn the water red, which definitly brought shivers up my spine the first time I heard it.
This is definitly one of my fav alk3 songs! It describes death so well, it scares me.
