   My interpretation on this is that the song is trying to tell us to be yourself, and not to care about what others think of you. You are unique, and even though you have flaws, they are what make you YOU. Embrace your flaws, and your true colors will show, just like the song says.

   I think it means that even if your father tells you that margaritas are homosexual, you still be yourself and drink them. Now a days there is so much pressure to be the Dictator, and often, "Feeling like a plastic bag" is felt more frequently. This song gives all hope that we will "Start Again".     Firework by Katy Perry is a powerful song that is also very meaningful, the song talks about not keeping secrets but to reveling them to the world and not to be afraid of what happens, it also uses poetic devices very well to concrete its meaning, this song is a very inspirational. Let me explain, the song is talking about life getting better overcoming fears and obstacles in life also to believe in people and yourself, another part of the theme of the song are gays, people that are bullied, lesbians and people with disabilities as you see in the video clip.     This song is so amazing. If I wouldve never heard it I wouldnt be writing this right now, I dont know where I would be. Its funny how music works, its like an escape from everything but then one day one song just changes your life. Im going into Junior year of high school and ever since I was in 3rd grade I was never able to express myself. I was the, "shy girl" and I didnt wanna be that. For years I had no friends up until the end of 8th grade I heard this song and it spoke to me like no song had ever done before, "baby you're a firework, come on let your colors burst, make em go oh oh oh", this song basically said, girl, be yourself! If you go through high school shy again nobody will ever know you and you will never enjoy anything, and I was so nervous but all it took was this song to make me open up like the crazy person I am, and now I have friends and an amazing boyfriend I couldnt be happier, listen to this song because it will change your life, if you're having trouble being yourself or finding who you are, may this song speak to you like it did to me, cause remember, "your original cannot be replaced, if you only knew what the future holds", high school is just a small 4 year slot of your life but its something youre gonna remember til the day you die, so dont live it as a fake person, be yourself, you never know what it does for you:) thanks Katy Perry, you changed my life. Music doesnt just run in the head, nor the heart, music runs in the soul.
